I am a recent Alaskan transplant, originally from San Diego. In the couple years I have spent here, my husband and I bought a house and have enjoyed settling down here and making Anchorage our home. My love of pediatrics began long-before becoming an occupational therapist. I spent many years babysitting and being a nanny. Some of this experience includes working with children with special needs. I later pursued OT knowing I wanted to work with kids. I was lucky enough to complete a clinical in Ecuador in which I was able to work closely with children with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, feeding complications, and other Developmental delays. Later on, I took on my first pediatric OT position providing home-based early intervention services in Ventura, CA. I later decided to marry my college boyfriend who is now my husband, which brought us to Korea for his military service. I was fortunate to continue my career overseas working for the Department of Defense, providing home based and school-based OT services for military families with children with special needs. I provide home-based/ community based occupational therapy services in each child’s natural environment.
